Our story

Mary Anne's Fresh Produce was born from a simple but powerful observation: the UAE's incredible culinary scene was being built on ingredients flown in from thousands of miles away — losing freshness, flavour, and leaving a heavy environmental footprint along the way. Founder Mary Anne de Haan believed there was a better way.

After moving to the UAE, Mary Anne noticed that some of the most delicate and distinctive ingredients — edible flowers, microgreens, specialty herbs and leaves — were almost impossible to source locally. They arrived imported, often tired, inconsistent, and a far cry from what chefs actually needed in their kitchens. At the same time, the UAE's food scene was evolving rapidly, with world-class restaurants demanding world-class ingredients. The question wasn't whether the demand existed — it was whether it could be met locally, organically, and sustainably, even in the desert.

The answer, it turned out, was yes.

Founded in 2018 just outside Dubai, what began as a small, passionate experiment has grown into one of the UAE's most trusted specialist farms. Over the years, we built deep relationships with chefs and culinary teams across the country — listening closely, understanding how each flower or leaf would be used on the plate, and growing with that purpose in mind. Those conversations shaped everything: what we grow, how we grow it, and the standards we hold ourselves to.

Today, we supply some of the UAE's finest restaurants and hotels — from Atlantis The Palm and the Four Seasons to the Waldorf Astoria, Conrad Dubai, and Sofitel — and we remain deeply proud of those partnerships. But our story is growing.

Rooted in a commitment to the UAE's food security and a belief that everyone deserves access to genuinely fresh, organic produce, we are now bringing our farm directly to your home. The same edible flowers, microgreens, specialty herbs, and organic vegetables that have graced the menus of the country's best kitchens are now available for you to cook with, garnish with, and savour — harvested fresh each morning and delivered to your door.

And we didn't stop there. We have taken some of our most beautiful organically grown flowers and specialty herbs and transformed them into a range of handcrafted caffeine-free teas — thoughtfully blended to bring you something truly special. From calming florals to digestive and antioxidant blends, each tea is a little piece of the farm in your cup, crafted for everyday comfort and quiet moments of wellbeing.
